Be available to provide support, regardless of distance and time, to the ministerial and missionary English-speaking Christian family around the world.
This Ministry Care Line service is a national 800 number phone service for pastors, teachers, staff, and their spouses and children. It is offered on a subscription basis to church professionals in organizations or groups with a minimum of 15 participants.
The purpose of Ministry Care Line is to give church professionals and their immediate family members, confidential access to the support and consultation a trained Christian mental health worker can provide. In addition, national directories for referrals to local Christian mental health professionals are maintained in the Ministry Care Line phone center.
The phone line is designed to function as part of an organization's employee assistance program. Employee assistance plans enable a happier and more productive workforce and often lower utilization of costly medical health benefits. Ministry Care Line aims to not only do this, but also to help the church fulfill the scriptural command to "bear one another's burdens" (Galatians 6:2) for its own clergy, teachers, and other staff members.
Ministry Care Line phone consultants are available on a daily schedule, Monday thru Friday, including some evening hours.
This service was inaugurated February 1992 with about 1,000 employees in 7 organizations. There are currently over 4,500 eligible employee participants plus family members in about 40 subscribing organizations.
Subscribers receive a Ministry Care Line quarterly eNewsletter to remind employees of this service. Each eNewsletter presents a helpful book or other resource available without charge to employees who request it.
There are three subscription financial options to choose from:
Per person yearly fee
Billed at the beginning of each year.
Fee per call billed quarterly.
Lower per person yearly fee (billed at the beginning of the year) plus lower per call charge (billed quarterly).
